Trans-arterial chemoembolisation in HCC has been extensively researched at Groote Schuur Hospital (Sobnach et al). @sanjusobnach22 (1/3)

We found that there is a significant lack of access to this therapy in Sub-Saharan Africa, constituting only 2% of all treatments. There is a significant benefit in palliative care where some of these patients survive up to 2539 days post initial treatment. (2/3)
