🇮🇹 Italy and the strength of its soft power: language and culture as bridges between peoples.
Together with Rector @NShabila, I had the pleasure of presenting certificates to students who completed the Italian language course promoted by the Dante Alighieri Society @la_dante and the Catholic University of Erbil @CatholicUniErbi, under the auspices of the Consulate General.
Congratulations to all participants for their dedication.

🇮🇹 L'Italia e la forza del suo soft power: lingua e cultura come ponti tra i popoli.
Insieme al Rettore Nazar Shabila, ho avuto il piacere di consegnare i certificati agli studenti che hanno completato il corso di lingua italiana promosso dalla Società Dante Alighieri e dalla Università Cattolica di #Erbil, sotto l'egida del Consolato Generale.
Complimenti a tutti i partecipanti per l'impegno dimostrato.

In continuation of its important role, the Women’s Empowerment Corner (WEC) at CUE hosted Her Excellency Dr. Bayan Sami Abdulrahman, Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, for a seminar titled “Leadership, Public Service, and Shaping the Future.”
The session brought together students, faculty, and staff members for an insightful discussion on leadership, resilience, and the role of education in shaping meaningful careers, especially for young women.

ERBIL. The Italian cooking course, organized by the @ItalyinKRI for the 10th Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World, came to an end with the awarding of certificates of participation. The event was attended by Davide Bonvicini, Deputy Head of Mission of the @ItalyinIraq, ​​Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, Rector @NShabila, and young students selected by the @CatholicUniErbi, who participated in a program dedicated to promoting Italian gastronomic culture. The Italian Cooking Class has opened in Erbil! 🍝A special initiative for the 10th Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, in the presence of Amb. @niccoloffontana, Rector @NShabila, and the young students selected by the @CatholicUniErbi. 🇮🇹🤝@Kurdistan CG Tommaso Sansone emphasized the connection between Italian and Kurdish cuisine: different traditions, but united by the same values ​​of conviviality, quality, and respect for food. 🌿 This year's theme: "Italian cuisine between health, culture, and innovation." A message dedicated to the new generations and the future of our planet.

This initiative, like previous ones, was funded by our @ItalyinKRI. 🇮🇹 relies on soft power and cultural diplomacy as levers to promote closeness and peaceful coexistence among peoples.

CUE hosted the launch of one of the most important and comprehensive books about the history of Christianity in Iraq. Originally written in German under the title "Iraks christliches Erbe", Dr. Matthias Kopp, the Head of the Press Department of the German Bishops’ Conference and the author, introduced his book and highlighted the main aspects of its chapters. The book includes direct input from His Holiness Pope Francis about the Christians of Iraq. The author was forwarded by His Excellency, Dr. Udo Markus Bentz, Archbishop of Paderborn, Germany
