@RandomG65514229@Dulchevvy Yep. Then you realise any paralyze and fragile she applies is purely ornamental because it's same turn and 9 times out of 10 she's either the slowest/second slowest on the chain
@R1ver09@destioot@SlothDamage Sure, but then we have to question the peccatula. They're real far from what Carmen envisions the "True Self" would be, no? Cookie-cutter entities that all take the same forms. I doubt she'd intentionally lead people to that state herself.
@destioot@SlothDamage I'm it's true when she calls herself a "mirror" and she's not going out of her way personally to talk to everyone who is distorting. Too many people in the city for there not to be 10s of millions of people simultaneously doing so.
@DeimosTheRodent@Marciszek___ No, Lei Heng was done considerably dirtier. He got hit with Power Down, Paralyze AND -80% damage. Hell, he couldn't even inflict tremor scorch once the clash was lost. He was overcorrected to a genuinely insane degree. They overshot here with Pwie, but not on Lei Heng's level.
@benshapirowife Like, someone would get staggered off the counter and you'd get 5-6 sub ins next turn. And yeah sinners are "supposed" to die in fights but this would throw and strategy you had out the window.
@benshapirowife Yeah the La Demande spiral was THE worst part of the fight. Someone getting staggered off it, then eating 4 unnoppsed L'Abject leading to another one which started the cycle anew + It activating bleeding so no amount of protection would save you?
@YelloGoat@absolutesno I get what you're saying here, but the reality is that for general play, the Tremor Scorch team is just the best team in the game right now. To the point where unless something comes specifically to fuck them by eating their burn/tremor infliction they're unmatched.
@YelloGoat@absolutesno Resistances don't really matter here since you don't need to kill Pwie, so Tremor Scorch ends up being favoured because it's the strongest team in the game right now(Members are all really strong+Incredibly easy to build up and maintain statuses)
@menalars Then La Demande probs again and you can end up with 3-4 people dead instantly even if you play it properly. It needs to be a once per turn thing, the counter needs to appear more frequently, or it needs to consume L'Abject on everyone it hits.
@menalars Sitting on it I ended up with 2 issues: The wrath skill on the adds is 100% overturned, and La Demande really can't be left in its current state. There's not enough opportunities to cleanse L'Abject so if someone gets staggered off from L'Abject they have to eat unopposed stacks—
@BkGust@yuriarmpitart Okay but Hong Lu received insane training and was doing 10 duels a day at points. That's not something being a buff guy can match up to. Especially one who was for all intents and purposes an assembly line manager.
@CinnaFaun I think the fights are fine if you pay an amount of attention EXCEPT the adds in the second fight. Those wrath skills are overturned. Why am I having to bust out 40 power EGOs to not get staggered every other turn?
@th4tsjustawsome@deathofthedemi And I get it, that's lame. But they also explain that when they can't fit sinners into the mould of the ID, they create a costume.
If you think that's dumb or suspect, it is! It's meant to be. The whole system doesn't make sense. They've brought attention to that for years now.
@th4tsjustawsome@deathofthedemi She's supposed to be One-leg, but making Ryoshu a mono-legged distortion wasn't happening, so they mixed her with Gustave/the general Noir aesthetic.
Ishmael's the same. She's not a blind, nailed down worm thing even though she's based on L'Inamovible.
