@victor_bigfield The biggest problem a startup has is its founders and early teams not believing in it. That’s not something someone can outsource to AI. Also, being able to “solve all the problems” suggests there is a problem to solve. AI doesn’t operate independently, it requires direction.

People have been saying certain desirable degrees (law, medical, comp sci, cybersecurity) are no longer useful, but I disagree. People with these degrees are the ones who can use AI to its fullest extent in these fields and keep it in check.

@LuizaJarovsky People can still dive into the information if they choose to do so. AI is aimed at increasing speed and productivity, but it’s up to the user to ensure they maintain a solid knowledge base and grow their understanding of the issue.

@Kappaemme1926 It only does what you instruct it to do. If you don’t learn about your topic or field, you won’t be able to properly instruct it and you will lose out on its mountain of capabilities.

Software engineering fundamentals are more important now than ever. I don't care what any influencer or CTO has said.

Good fundamentals means you can direct AI to write more productive code for you.

Bad fundamentals means your AI-written code will be a liability.

@wisdomXplorer AI only makes someone “dumb” if they allow it to. Allowing anyone or anything to think for you blindly will always be a negative. However, AI can absolutely make someone greater than they were without it if used appropriately.
