We’ll cool to about average this weekend, but we may be hot again mid Next week. Right now, rain chances don’t look great the next 7-10 days at least. However, Isolated Severe may be possible tomorrow afternoon thru Friday morning.

Looking back at August, the Mean Temperature was 0.7° warmer than average. However, we obliterated the previous August rainfall record of 8.63" (1990), as we picked up 15.12" (11.77 above average). The vast majority of that fell on five days (Aug 1, 11, 12, 14, 15).

Looking forward to September, Summer very quickly loses its statistical grip as the average High/Low fall from 81°/61° on the 1st to 72°/51° on the 30th. September averages 3.12" of rain. #MadCoWx #INwx
