The Port launched the National TB Elimination Programme – 100 Days Campaign on 08.01.2025, as part of the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, an initiative aimed at accelerating the country's progress toward TB elimination by 2025.

As part of this programme, Dr. Sundaralingam, Deputy Director of Health Services, Thoothukudi Government Medical College & Hospital, delivered a lecture on TB awareness for doctors and paramedical staff of the Port's Hospital.

Dr. P. Naresh Kumar, Chief Medical Officer, stated that the Port has chalked out series of activities for successful implementation of the 100-day campaign and lend support in achieving a TB-free India.
