I actually can't express how much this means to me. It really wouldn't have been possible if not for everyone in the community. Especially @NTS_Azazel for doing the lights on Sail Away. Mapping has become such a big part of my life, and to get something like this from it is neat!

At a minimum, I hope this situation draws some attention to those rules. In the future I'd like to see them updated to be more accommodating to V3 lighting, which is much easier to copy-paste like this without modifications than mapping.

Update on this: The situation with this map specifically has been handled. Everyone I talked with was extremely polite and professional, including the mapper involved. Please don't send any hate towards him.

I don't want to claim anything concretely YET, but those orbs/lasers at the start of the clip are almost definitely taken (stolen) from one of my lightshows without permission.
Map description says "The lights are copied from here and there but I guess it fits."

There wasn't much precedent for mapping/lighting being taken and used in a different song, which made it a strange grey area in the rules. The mapper made an odd choice but I fully believe he didn't have bad intentions.

@SyndicateBS @KlondlkeVR I spoke with Ken and he admitted that I was one of maybe 10+ lighters that he lifted parts from for this lightshow. I've talked with a few other curators on discord with much more solid evidence, feel free to DM me there if you'd like to look into this more

Seems VERY familiar...🤔
Tempo is 50 bpm higher but I checked the events in the editor and they're identical. Also conveniently found two effects later in the map that were identical to those in Love Spiral Tower, another of my lightshows, down to the exact rotation angles.

So, tomorrow is the last day for Beasties voting. I've been suffering some major lighting burnout and haven't been around much for the last two weeks, but now I'm back and I've got some thoughts to share. Idk how long this thread will end up, might be a bit of a ramble.
