SMU was on the verge of back to back ACC Championship game appearances last year before they tripped up at Cal in the last game of the season as a 13 point favorite.

There are some question marks on the defensive side of the ball, but this team is ready to contend once again in 2026. Three year starting QB Kevin Jennings returns behind a great offensive line and one of the best coaches in the country in Rhett Lashlee.

Consensus is at +700 but shop around - there still is some value out there at 8-1 for the Mustangs to win this conference.
