There's an inverse correlation between R:R and win rate.

The more R you target, the lower win-rate you will have.
The less R you target, the higher win-rate you will have.

Now why do you always see me target 2R ?

Because mentally I couldn't handle losing way more than I win.
Couldn't handle the long losing streaks.
Couldn't handle the long wait in between winning trades.

In fact, humans in general struggle to play any game where they lose 60% or more of the time.

Psychological studies also show the pain of losing is twice as intense as the pleasure of winning.

So imagine constantly feeling that negative feedback/energy on your trading more than the positive.

It sucks.

Thats why it's very difficult for many people to make low win rate strategies work.

Is it impossible? Absolutely not, just takes a much more hardened mind.

Which im not ashamed to say I don't have lol.

Target low hanging fruit objectives
Get your small piece of the pie
And be content with enough..

ICT missed out on the greatest bull run of all time and is now retiring for the 50th time 💀

If ICT truly is retiring after 50 times saying he would here’s my goodbye:

-ICTs old teachings and core concepts as someone that was a PAYING charter student back then, were very useful as a starting point.

-ICTs viewpoint on market structure was superior to anything else (larry williams taught this but I learned from ICT)

-ICT 2022 mentorship was the only playlist on youtube worth your time

I truly believe that ICT is one of if not the greatest teacher the trading space has seen (2016-2022). Outside of these years everything else in my opinion is complete none-sense and noise for milking YT revenue (hate the game not the player)

I began my journey with ICT in 2019.

Became consistently profitable on a high scale in 2023 after collecting my own data and concepts from chart time + incorporating core ICT concepts

In conclusion: (My formula to how I made multiple 6 figures with ICT)

1- My own price discovery and data collection for 6 years (90% of my trading)

2- ICT liquidity concepts, market structure, PO3, and FVGs

The combination of these things brought me to true success.

And while ICT did not make me profitable…

It was him that put me on the correct path and put me in a hungry, winning mindset and supplied me with core concepts that work when paired with true data.
