The Parent Carer Forum in North Tyneside for Children/Young People aged 0-25yrs with SEND. Working for & with families to shape & improve services in our area.
We worked with @NTynesidePCF to produce three films providing top tips for parents and carers.
The films explore where parents and carers can go to for help; where they can seek social opportunities for children and young people and where they can access support with their self-care and wellbeing.

BBC Films are currently casting for a feature film set in London, that is going to be directed by Deaf Writer and Artist Louise Stern. The film is set within a Deaf community and will start shooting in early 2025 in the UK.
They are currently looking for a Deaf girl aged 7-12 years who can sign fluently to play a key role in the film. Just to clarify, the child doesn't need to have any acting experience whatsoever. The girl should have mixed black/white heritage (due to the actors we have cast as her parents).
The production team are known within the industry for discovering new talent, particularly children or young people.
Exclusive Woman’s Hour poll: 73% of mothers of children with SEND think the SEND system is broken.
We commissioned a survey of 1,000 mums across the UK who have one or more children with SEND.
58% told us they gave up work or cut their hours to support their child ⬇️
