The part of ‘help fund social care’ is a stupid one we can’t afford the triple lock and it should’ve been scrapped long ago we definitely can’t afford to use that money on social care.
BREAKING:
Andy Burnham has pledged to scrap the triple lock on state pension rises after the next election to help fund social care
He says that 'someone has to go through the pain barrier and rip the plaster off'
He said that from 2030 it will be a double lock, rising in line every year in line with prices or 2.5 per cent. He will end the current approach of raising it in line with wages.
He said that the change would generate “significant savings” while ensuring that the state pension holds its value relative to earnings.
@cjhhhh21 I disagree tbh we just need to get within 20% of them after that the margins on failure decrease significantly and we will have a lot more room to challenge. Will need a bit of luck on the pitch as well mind.
@cjhhhh21@GavSAFC89 Hate to say it also but it’s much easier when you have several clubs in the same region. City, Man Utd, Everton & Liverpool all mostly being able to live in the same area of Cheshire helps massively. Remember de bruyne and van dijk kids going the same school.
@BSRobsonNE As much as I think he’s a good prospect think his ceiling is mid table prem. would be happy for a loan this season then sell to a promoted club with a chunky sell on clause.
