Today, the Director of SUDA @anilpathakias delivered a presentation before the selection and expert committee of the Government of India for the Spark Award. Six mission directors also delivered presentations during the meeting. The SPARK Award 2023-24 recognized a stage 2 virtual presentation of the first-round shortlisted state following their nominations as the best partnership model in urban livelihoods under category 4. Program officer and SUDA officials attended the meeting.

Today, Anand Kumar Shukla, Additional Director of SUDA, chaired three key meetings: a review session for #DAYNULM/#PMSVANidhi, #PMAYUrban and the Malin Basti review. In DAY NULM and PMAY-U meetings, the focus was on assessing the progress of the schemes. During the Malin Basti meeting, he addressed the second installment, project issues and the progress of pending work. Officials from DAY-NULM and PMAY actively participated in these sessions.

Today's meeting of the Domestic and Household Workers group, established by the Government of India, convened under the chairmanship of Dr. Anil Kumar Pathak, State Mission Director of Uttar Pradesh. The purpose of the meeting was to address the challenges faced by domestic workers and develop a concept note aimed at enhancing national policies to improve their working conditions. @anilpathakias Director of SUDA, presided over the discussion, focusing on identifying existing policies and findings from studies conducted by various national and international institutions. The meeting aimed to analyze this data to draft a comprehensive concept note. Dr. Pathak also stressed that participating states and organizations would review the registration status and beneficiary processes under the BOCW of the Labour Department and relevant departments. Group coordinator Mr. Rakesh Ranjan Barak, NMM represented the Government of India. Program officer and SUDA officials were present during the meeting.

A one day workshop on the role of Housing Finance Companies (HFCs) in PMAY(U) was conducted today at SUDA HQ, Lucknow. The inauguration of the Workshop was marked by the lighting of the lamp by the Director SUDA @anilpathakias, who also addressed the workshop. The primary focus was on discussing gap funding in the Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) and Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP) verticals of #PMAYU in Uttar Pradesh. This workshop highlighted the importance of timely completion and occupancy of houses, accentuating the critical need for gap funding. Key presentations were made by representatives from prominent HFCs including Avas Financiers Limited, Aadhar Housing Finance Limited, IIFL Home Loan, and Grihum Housing Finance Limited.Discussions delved into various aspects such as company profiles, their presence in Uttar Pradesh and the solutions they offer. A Q&A session enriched participants' understanding. Director SUDA @anilpathakias provided suggestions to make the role of HFCs in PMAY-U more effective and successful. Attendees included the Additional Director of SUDA, Finance officer, Program officer and other SUDA officials.
