I hardly share my technical work on this platform for many reasons.

1) I don’t have followers. My posts anyway are ghosts and mostly written as though I am writing a personal diary.

2) 7 years into finance, and I still feel as if I have enormous learning left to do. My technical work is nothing compared to industry stalwarts. Although I have deep conviction in my research.

3) I would rather let my results speak. As a fund manager it takes couple of decades to build the real results. Anything less than 10 years doesn’t count.

4) Partially due to regulatory reasons. Some work cannot be shared as it will be counted as advice without registration.

ask anyone - even statisticians, even government agencies - and that's exactly the wrong definition you'll get back.

what they're describing is mean absolute deviation. real standard deviation squares the moves first - which quietly hands almost all the weight to the rare extremes.

I have many relatives now complaining about unbearable heat.

To be frank, our body is made to farm or hunt in the day. That includes summer, humid weather too.

‘Unbearable’ is just our bodies being stopped from some necessary sun exposure. Most of those who complain have low Vitamin D and high insulin resistance.

If I am invited for a specialized topic, like Squid Ink THeory, probability distribution of heartrates or Bicycling Saddle Theory, I enlist immediately if there is a fit.
