Toyotaro: Master Toriyama's strokes are simple. Back when we were still reading Dragon Ball in Jump magazine, all of us kids could try to imitate it, but when you try it yourself, it's not as simple as it seemed. Because no matter what you do, you can never draw a "real" Goku.

Akira Toriyama: I suppose that's true. It's funny even when professional animators draw him, I feel like they sometimes get it wrong. My style is simple, but I guess that's what makes it so deceptive. Maybe only I truly understand it.
