Despite Sen. Spartz’s vote against SB16, it passed the Senate w/bipartisan support, 43-6. We agree w/Sen. Bohacek that it makes sense & is proportional. It’s limited to only juveniles who have committed serious violent crimes w/a gun.

Currently, these juveniles are able to possess a gun once they turn 18 and are out of the juvenile justice system.
