The EU just granted a record number tourist visas to Russians. More than any time since 2022. All while:
• Most still support terror in Ukraine
• Arson and sabotage attacks are constant
This is madness.
Whenever new sanctions are announced, you can only wonder why they hadn’t been in place for years already and how many lives might have been saved. The situation now is far more urgent. Send weapons, send interceptors, send Taurus.
I wonder if it is finally dawning on people that Trump’s pivot to confront China was, from the start, simply a straw man put up to abandon Ukraine and serve Putin’s interest?
This is Hleb, 9, and his 29-year-old mother, Olha. They were killed today in a russian strike by two jet-powered drones that hit their private home in Sumy region 💔🕯
🇺🇦 Stepan Chubenko. A pro-Ukraine Donbas native. 16-year-old. A goalie & poet. Fearless. Son to a Ukrainian dad & Russian mom.
On this day 12 years ago, he took a train in the occupied Donbas. They arrested him. Tortured for days. Executed him mafia-style.
Months later, his body was found. All the teeth were missing. Hands bound behind his back.
Never forget. Never forgive.
If Putin or anyone like him stays in power, the only way Russia will survive is as a Chinese vassal state, increasingly repressive internally and used as a resource depot and Xi's puppet on the world stage. Russia's disintegration is the more attractive option for the free world.
🙄 Nobody believes this crap anymore. It’s all been a sham, especially after Anchorage. Trump and Putin are on the same side, against Ukraine and the free world, seeking personal advantages only, and that’s all they ever talk about.
We will never forget.
Today marks the third anniversary of the murder of two Ukrainian heroes — Tigran Oganesyan and Mykyta Khanganov.
Two 16-year-old schoolboys from Berdiansk who became symbols of unbreakable resistance. They were among the first to tear down the russian tricolor in their occupied city, openly defying the occupiers.
For this, they were abducted, tortured, and falsely labeled “terrorists.” On June 24, 2023, russians executed them in cold blood in occupied Berdiansk.
They did not break. They did not bow. They did not surrender.
Their courage lives on. Their names echo through time.
We remember. We honor. We stand.
Tigran and Mykyta — forever in our hearts.
I’m loving this sort of thing.
For years, Russia has been yelling about “Ukrainian Nazis,” the “Kyiv junta,” the “protection of the people of Donbas,” the “NATO threat,” and “we didn’t start this war, Ukraine attacked us.”
And then, as if nothing happened, Russian officials openly and publicly threaten Armenia with a “Ukrainian scenario” if its pro-Western government, which has been confidently re-elected, continues moving closer to the European Union and European countries.
So no, Congressman, no amount of words will save you from the disgrace of providing cover for Trump's policy of siding with the Russian dictator in the genocidal war against heroic Ukraine. We are watching; we see you clearly and we will not forget.
I never stop being amazed by them. Launching their “Birdhouse” — a strategic-class missile worth around $100 million, capable of carrying a nuclear warhead — at a garage complex in the Kyiv region.
Let’s calculate how much this night cost them.
One “Oreshnik” — roughly $100 million. Around ninety cruise and ballistic missiles: Kh-101s, Kalibrs, Iskander-Ks — at an average price of about $8 million each — that’s another roughly $720 million. Six hundred Shahed drones at $50,000 each — another $30 million. Plus fuel, launch platforms, maintenance, reconnaissance.
Total: around $850 million for a single night. Nearly a billion dollars.
And what did they get for that billion?
They hit garages in Bila Tserkva. Destroyed the “Kvadrat” shopping mall. Set the roof of a dormitory on fire in Darnytskyi district. Blew apart an entrance section of a five-story apartment building in Shevchenkivskyi district. Hit a market. A supermarket. A construction hypermarket in Obolon. Dropped debris onto the Valeriy Lobanovskyi Dynamo Stadium.
Two sleeping civilians killed. Fifty-six wounded, including children. Is this their strategic result for a billion dollars? This is their “special operation.” This is their “greatness.”
They cannot move forward on the battlefield. Cannot seize a single truly significant settlement. Cannot defeat the army of a country they promised to capture in three days four years ago. And in convulsions, in agony, in powerless rage, they strike residential neighborhoods at night — museums, markets, shops, garages.
Impotent on the battlefield, compensating for their failure with the number of munitions fired at sleeping civilians.
Blind evil and helplessness at the same time.
Monsters. Simply monsters. Rabid, paranoid lunatics with a nuclear button.
I have no other words left for them.
It’s also worth repeating that the Vice President of the United States of America is in Hungary right now endorsing a corrupt autocrat because a Russian dictator ordered him to.
The Vice President is abroad campaigning for a dictator.
The President is threatening to wipe out an entire civilization.
Congress is on recess.
This is a total collapse of American moral leadership — at a historic scale.
Missing my friend and colleague Boris Nemtsov on the anniversary of his murder in cold blood in front of the Kremlin in 2015. Even after Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, even after the assassination of his most prominent critic, the West continued to do business with Russia.
