St Bartholomew’s day. Hurray for sunflowers 🌻

The Sunflower, Helianthus annus, is the flower dedicated to St. Bartholomew whose feast day is on 24th August. In late summer its brilliant, cheery blooms are like reflections of the sun hence it is also known as 'St. Bartholomew's Star'. It is a symbol of constancy and devotion.

@GirlHucknall We bake a huge tray of plums with a drizzle of honey over. Keep them in a container in the fridge & put a dollop on each morning. Super fruity sweet - and yoghurt too if you want - it’s like fruit crumble - delicious
