A founding director of @CommunityLandSc, and its 1st Chair, David Cameron from Harris, retired from the board of CLS at its AGM. It is worth recording the immense contribution he has made to community land ownership, its development, progress & increasing profile over the years.
We are looking to raise funds for our Dark sky environment here on Rùm and turn the island into an International Dark Sky Island.
We are fundraising for a sky camera, weather station,meteor detection camera and telescope all for community and public use.

Harvesting work is due to commence in West Ardhu (shown on map - both sides of the Kengharair track).

This work is part of the restructuring of the woodlands which includes the replanting of North Langamull now under way and the rest of the area in due course.
This restructuring includes substantial native broadleaves as well as commercial species.
During the period of harvesting alternative routes should be found. Operations are expected to last approximately one year.
