We concluded the NWRA 2024 Western Water Seminar with a wine tasting and dinner at Terra Blanca Winery in Benton, Washington and enjoyed capping off a productive week with a beautiful evening.
Our last day of the NWRA 2024 Western Water Seminar included caucus and committee meetings, panels on urbanization of irrigation districts and invasive species, a Columbia River Treaty update, a talk on the state of Washington agriculture, and an NWRA legal review.
Our second full day of the NWRA 2024 Western Water Seminar included a morning of activities, a board of directors meeting, and talks from Naches Selah Irrigation District, the @usbr , and a panel on the Snake River dams before we ended with a reception.
Our first full day of the NWRA 2024 Western Water Seminar included committee meetings, heard from the McGregor Company, Skagit Dike, Drainage, and Irrigation District 12, a panel on Idaho Groundwater Curtailment Order, and had our welcome reception.
We kicked off the 2024 Western Water Seminar last Monday with a Washington Water Tour. We toured Kennewick Irrigation district, Lamb Weston’s potato processing plant and Ice Harbor Dam. We appreciated getting to see these facilities and learn more about the Tri-Cities area.
Last week, AmericanHort’s Vice President of Advocacy and Government Affairs, Matt Mika, joined a panel at the @NWRA_Water Fly-In. They lead a conversation on advocacy and how to engage with Congress through Senate Committee staff and other government affairs professionals.
