They had the WH, senate, and congress, for the first 10 months of Obama's presidency. 4 things is a huge amount done when the country was taken over in the middle of a disasterious recession, as well as the Swine Flu pandemic hit.

As I said, the popular vote doesn't win the Presidential election, the electoral college vote does. Until you grasp that basic concept, you don't and won't understand our election system.
