Weakening showers/storms will progress S/SE into the local area early Sat AM, but severe weather is not expected Sat AM. Additional storms will develop Sat PM, with a few strong to severe storms possible through the evening, especially near/north of I-70 into central Ohio.
There may be some weakening showers and storms Saturday morning, but they are not expected to pose a threat. Additional storms are forecast to develop Saturday afternoon. Some of these storms could have strong to damaging winds. Isolated large hail cannot be ruled out.
Today will start an extended stretch of above normal temperatures (normal is around 80 this time of year). Once again there will be plenty of sunshine today. There may be a few more clouds on Friday along with a southerly breeze.

High pressure slowly shifts to the south on Thursday. This will end the long stretch of winds out of the northeast. Expect gradually warming temperatures each day through the end of the week.
Stronger high pressure to the north will lead to elevated winds and fewer clouds. High temperatures are still a few degrees below normal for early June. Warmer temperatures are on the way toward the end of the week.
Scattered sprinkles will be possible today. Otherwise, dry weather persists through much of the week. Confidence is increasing on rainfall returning for this upcoming weekend.
The Climate Prediction Center indicates that a pattern shift will occur near the end of the first full week of June. This will favor seasonably warm temperatures, along with a period of wetter weather.
Along with some lingering flooding, be mindful of the potential for fog development tonight into Thursday morning. Dense fog may result in longer commute times.
