Very pleased to have finally gotten this RWS-style book out in honor of this year's Awdry Extravaganza at the @TalyllynRailway!! Here's to the TR, the Awdry Family, and Extravaganzas to come!

Here it is: Famous Little Engines!
My first public book release is here at last. Naturally it's dedicated to the Talyllyn Railway and the Awdry Family.

@SonnKakarott@TheRedJinty@BananaBoco3@Ry121_OUTATIME I'm also of the opinion that infrastructure and locomotive maintenance standards on Sodor could allow for higher speed steam (more than 75mph, at least), but there's a chance this isn't the case and I was trying to give Express Permission the benefit of the doubt.
@TheRedJinty@BananaBoco3@Ry121_OUTATIME I agree Murdoch shouldn't have been instantly banned, buuut Gordon's 100mph attempt was during an era when that was... passable, regulations-wise. Express Permission seems to occur in like the 70s/80s at minimum, & we know high-speed steam is generally a big no-no these days.
@misio_dangiso I'm glad you chose Douglas since he has a more prickly past w/ diesels & scrap. He's clearly trying to be nice here, but remnants of "Yon diesels arr all devils!" are present.
Same w/ Bear not *intending* to look down on "steamers" ala the modernization rhetoric he was born into.
@misio_dangiso Yeah, I really wish we saw more of James' dislike for diesels sprinkled in before the titular book. It's stated that he's *okay* with Sodor Diesels, but he'd definitely still be saying problematic things.
@marvellous_main He and Larry have hangouts at Cronk a couple times per month. Movie nights, board games, etc. Sometimes they do it at the electric engines' shed (and found playing Uno with Oscar is difficult).
@basstbonemusic No no, you're totally right. Stepney (Preservation) gets shafted every time there's a new run of Terriers. Even the upcoming Dapol/Rails of Sheffield Exclusive batch doesn't have it, even though that'd have been the perfect opportunity.
