#50th_WWII_GP_Reunion Glider Pilot Frank Brandon and Fred Lunde meet at glider pilots 50th reunion over the weekend. Both flew a glider in #OMG landing the #82ndAB Frank was 97th TC Sqdn/440th TC Group and Fred was 49th TC Sqdn/ 313th TC Group. They had much to talk about.

Glider Pilot Frank T. Brandon celebrated his 102nd Birthday on March 5th.
Frank was a glider pilot in the 440th TCG / 97th TCS and flew HOLLAND.
His C-47 was shot down and Frank became a POW.

At the very moment 76 years ago: The C-47 #42-92087 of the 88th Troop Carrier Squadron, 438th TCG, crashes at the Ilse-le-Pre, South-west of Bastogne in an area held by the 327th Glider Infantry Regiment. The four crew, led by 1st Lt Louie M Roberts, are all killed in the crash.
