Rivercities Baseball Initiative hosted our first watch party at Birdie's in WSac with Mayors Kevin McCarty & Martha Guerrero. A huge assist from the A's who donated memorabilia for our silent auction. RBI is helping make PERMANENT Major League Baseball a reality in Sacramento.
I need some prayers today. I put my mom in the hospital a couple weeks ago for super low sodium levels. During a MRI they found a cancerous tumor in her lungs. She is having surgery today or Monday.
She’s my world. The one that has always been there.
RBI Watch Party -- August 22nd!
Get in on the ground floor of the effort to win a PERMANENT Major League Baseball franchise in Sacramento. All are welcome. Details below.
Scott Perry and the Sacramento Kings have done a great job at locating overlooked players during the draft and free agency.
Second Round Picks since 2025:
— Maxime Raynaud, an All-Rookie Second Team honoree
— Emanuel Sharp, a guy who’s not afraid to defend the best guard on the floor
Notable UDFA Signings to Summer League squad:
— Dylan Cardwell, a current rotational piece and pure energizer bunny
— Marquel Sutton, an excellent 3&D wing who can stretch the floor
Under the Radar Free Agent Signings:
— Daeqwon Plowden, an athletic, high-motor player on both ends
— Precious Achiuwa, a lengthy forward that started 57 games last season and does all the little things
Splashy signings aren’t everything when attempting to build a successful culture long-term.
Hey NBA fans! In case you didn’t know, I founded a 501(c)(3) literacy nonprofit called E Train Talks, Inc.
Over the past few years, I’ve visited dozens of classrooms and given over 9,000 new, diverse books to kids of all backgrounds.
I’m writing this, as I ask you all for a favor. I’m up for Sacramento’s Best Nonprofit and Youth Development Program.
Follow the directions in the replies to vote for me. No pressure, but it would mean a lot. More recognition means more opportunities to give books to kids who need them.
