Too many NYers work their whole lives w/o a real way to save for retirement. Tomorrow I’m introducing a bill to make sure the state’s Secure Choice program actually works. through outreach, small business support & transparency. Proud to partner w/@CMSusanZhuang on this effort.
Troubling development: 60th precinct confirmed to us that an EXPLOSIVE DEVICE was found in an apartment right outside my district while police was executing an unrelated search warrant. The device did not go off and an arrest was made. Investigation is underway, no perp name available yet.
New Yorkers can’t afford another tax. Not property, not income, not a death tax, not even charging people more to park on their own streets.
This isn’t a revenue problem; it’s a spending problem.
City Hall needs to live within its means before asking families to pay more.
This is exactly the kind of policy that leaves Staten Islanders shaking their heads. The mayor is eliminating criminal summonses for e-bike riders committing low-level traffic violations — while drivers continue to face stricter enforcement and higher costs.
A $40M battery storage facility is planned at 4838 Arthur Kill Rd near the Outerbridge Crossing. Residents have real safety concerns. I do too. That’s why I'm introducing a bill for real-time FDNY monitoring, independent inspections, and full transparency.

These ebikes are an absolute menace. Something needs to be done about them. Unfortunately, I think what the Mayor is doing is only going to make our streets more dangerous for pedestrians.
Another warning sign for NYC’s finances. When rating agencies start talking downgrade, that’s not politics that’s reality.
We can’t keep spending like this, draining reserves, and hoping it works out. New Yorkers are going to be the ones stuck paying for it.
We’ve seen long delays between street milling and repaving for years, but over the last decade, those gaps have only gotten longer. I raised this at a recent hearing and asked DOT why.
Hear their response:
“Our roads are in bad shape & it’s going to take more than just a pothole blitz to make them safe and passable again. That’s why we are asking this administration to boost its investment in resurface & repair.” @SpeakerMenin@CMShaunAbreu@NYCCouncil https://t.co/r99nBmBtvW
