I'm starting to think @MayorBowser deserves more credit for her stewardship of DC than she gets.

Over her 11 years as Mayor, areas like Navy Yard and NoMa went from wastelands to population centers. Union Market and the Wharf barely existed and are now filled with restaurants and bars people love.

She accepted President Trump's help when he offered the National Guard to police the city and crime is now reaching historic lows.

The Commanders are coming back to the District in a brand new, mostly privately-funded stadium on the old RFK grounds.

And arguably most important: she was never caught doing crack cocaine with an FBI informant.

She's not perfect, but it's a stronger record than she gets credit for.
