There’s no point in giving Banks an extension right now. He was borderline unplayable for his first 3 years in the league. This breakout could be real, but it’s far too early to be certain. Let the season play out, and if need be, give him the franchise tag which is only ~$23M for 2027. You can either let him play on it,
you can extend him, or you can trade him.

This team has so many players to give huge bags to soon, you cannot afford to be wrong about Banks’ breakout and give him a huge deal.
