The au pair program allowed me to work uninterrupted during the shutdown without any worry of safe child care. I will inevitably have to work fewer hours which will mean fewer first responders available.

@CIS_org Wrong. Typically au pairs are not educated educated. In addition, it is a cultural exchange. Au pairs are included in daily meals, family celebrations, and holiday traditions in a way a nanny never would be. Get your facts straight.
