A positive from minicamp: John Mara was at a good chunk of the practices all three days. He appears to be doing better after being diagnosed with cancer last year.
John Harbaugh said Malik Nabers told him he expects to be in NJ most of the next seven weeks the Giants to rehab his knee.
Nabers is "doing great," per Harbaugh. Thinks he made really good progress the past few weeks.
But even when Nabers initially gets back on the field, whenever that may be, it might not be so easy. He'll still be building. He's returning from a serious knee injury.
Updates from Harbaugh:
• Cam Jones hurt his ankle moving and should be fine in a week.
• Thomas Fidone had a “clean up” on his foot. Harbaugh said it should be a two-week recovery so “fingers crossed” he’s ready for camp.
• Sam Roberts is “on track” for camp but will need to ramp up.
• Beaux Collins has been dealing with a hamstring. He should be fine.
• Lucas Patrick has been dealing with “old guy stuff.”
Giants edge rusher Abdul Carter suffered what sources classify as a minor ankle sprain during Monday’s practice.
Head coach John Harbaugh said he did not believe the injury was serious.
Players not spotted: WR Malik Nabers (knee), TE Thomas Fidone (?), DL Roy Robertson-Harris (Achilles), DL Sam Roberts (undisclosed surgery), LB Cam Jones (?) and CB Rico Payton (?).
WR Darius Slayton (sports hernia) is on the side with a trainer. RB Tyrone Tracy is back after missing yesterday for a personal reason.
#Giants OC Matt Nagy on quizzing Malik Nabers during meetings:
"On a tough call, and he said the whole formation, motion, shift and play to a T… He doesn't say a whole lot, but he's listening and he's taking it all in. I see why he's as good as he is."

Giants WR Malik Nabers (ACL) isn't practicing yet.
But “I still think he’ll be fine Week 1,” GM Joe Schoen told me. “So we’ll see. He’s trending in the right direction. Again, these things take time, so it’s not instant. Every patient is different.”

John Harbaugh welcomed Sean McDermott to Giants practice yesterday and the former Bills coach is expected back today. The two worked together on Andy Reid's staff with the Eagles.
McDermott also worked with Giants GM Joe Schoen in Buffalo.
Harbs plans to get McDermott's thoughts on what he saw (players, schemes): "Just get his two cents."
Development: Giants edge Abdul Carter had his entire left shoe and sock off, and he’s being examined by trainers. He is limping VERY gingerly off to the side.
I didn’t see it happen, but Carter got banged up during this practice. He just limped into the indoor field as practice continues outside
Players not spotted at practice: TE Thomas Fidone, OL Lucas Patrick, DL Roy Robertson-Harris, DL Sam Roberts and LB Cam Jones.
Wide receivers Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton and Beaux Collins were working on the side with trainers.
