Introducing the New York Meme Exchange (NYME)
This token is designed around the concept of traditional market hours, but with the trading session reversed.
Trading will close at 9:30 AM each day. After that point, no new buy or sell orders can be executed.
The market will then reopen at 4:30 PM the same day, allowing trading to resume.
That means NYME’s active trading session runs from 4:30 PM to 9:30 AM, with the market closed between 9:30 AM and 4:30 PM.
The idea is simple: when the traditional market opens, NYME closes. When Wall Street winds down, NYME comes back online. A meme market built for after hours.

We also plan to push the NYME tech to a GitHub that will allow anyone to launch using it
Also we have reached out to @ponsdotfamily to see if they would like to implement NYME as a optional launch feature
How NYME works:
NYME is an after-hours market built directly into the token’s trading logic.
The token trades through Uniswap V4 on Robinhood Chain, with a custom hook controlling when swaps are allowed to execute.
Instead of relying on a website, admin, or manual pause button, the contract checks the current on-chain timestamp and determines whether the US equities market is open or closed.
From 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET on weekdays, NYME is closed. Any attempted buy or sell during that window is rejected at the contract level and the transaction reverts.
At 4:00 PM ET, trading automatically reopens and remains active through the night until 9:30 AM ET the following morning. Weekends remain open continuously.
The important part is that these rules are enforced on-chain. There is no person manually opening or closing the market each day.
NYME essentially inverts traditional US market hours:
NYSE open → NYME closed
NYSE closed → NYME open
Each executed swap also carries a 1% fee, which is routed to the community vault.
It’s effectively a programmable after-hours market where the trading session itself is part of the token’s infrastructure.
