“Ugh I’m so exhausted, I’ve been working nonstop between classes.” Taking the coffee and eagerly sipping at it.
“What about you, what have you been up to?”
“It’s apple.” She said as if that might ease his suspicions of her, though she doubted it. “Not really— I help out at her bar, mainly.” Her head ducked and she sighed.
“But I also just don’t like how most people think they know me.” And then she was smiling again. “Nice to —“
his gaze narrowed upon the juice and
pain kiIIers before he took them from
her. he downed the tylenol with ease
as he nodded towards her.
"mike." he spoke his own name. "that

“Agree to disagree,” she murmured, frowning at his hiss of discomfort. Reaching into her purse she retrieved a mini bottle of juice and some Tylenol. “Here this will help.”
Hair brushed from her face, she forced a small smile. “ ‘m Rory, Beulah’s niece. I don’t get out much.”
"nah, not really. ain't worth all the fuss."
he muttered, letting his shirt fall as he
tightened the gauze around himself. a
quiet hiss coming from him at the pain.
his gaze moved onto her features. "don't
think i've seen ya' before." he would've
remembered her.
She inched herself closer, still nervously chewing her bottom lip. “Do you want to talk about it?” Her demeanor remained gentle, open to listen but understanding if he had no intention of talking to her. She was a stranger after all.
he exhaled a sigh, all he had done was
put gauze on it. he looked towards her,
shaking his head. "nah, ya' don't have to.
it's fine, swear." he murmured, moving to
stand as he sucked in a quiet breath,
hand to his abdomen.
