What a fabulous day working alongside North Tyneside Neat Street Team! We managed to clear 16 bags of litter! In school and around our community @Newyorkprimary

We have our Bird boxes up! Thank you very much for the donation of these handmade boxes I'm sure they will be very well used from our wildlife around school @Newyorkprimary

An average garden accommodates more than 2,000 different species of insect! Very few of these creatures cause significant damage to our plants, and there are many more insects that actually help us to control the ones that do!

Eco Club we collected leaves from outside all shapes and sizes and then created some amazing leaf art. Lots of creative pieces and also some leaf families 🍃 @Newyorkprimary

Can you walk to school this week?

This week is #WalkToSchoolWeek. A generation ago 70% of primary school children walked to school, now it’s less than half!

As part of the transport topic, @EcoSchools promote sustainable travel to school. It's good for us, and for the planet!

Our spider plant is growing well @NYPS_ECO ... we noticed it was looking a little bit dry this afternoon so we gave it a little water @Newyorkprimary

Nursery were keen to start filling our vegetable patch. Today we planted potatoes and are very excited to observe their growth @Newyorkprimary @NYPS_ECO
