Hey Republicans: We found that VOTER FRAUD y'all have been obsessing over.
But it wasn't an undocumented immigrant.
It was former Texas AG Ken Paxton.
So, you'll be holding him accountable, right?🙄
You’re off your rocker on this one. I’ve lived in Maine for over a decade and voted for Platner in the primary. It would be easy to say, “The worst thing about Graham Platner is that Donald Trump bragged about walking in on nude, undressed teenagers, bragged about committing sexual assault, was a friend of Jeffrey Epstein, was mentioned in the Epstein files over a million times, and was found guilty of rape in civil court.”
I get the outrage over the double standard in virtue between the GOP and our candidates, and the fact that both parties have given Israel a blank check and have not been even handed in dealing with Palestinians since Israel’s creation.
But this has nothing to do with Israel. There is no evidence this has anything to do with Israel. This most recent allegation against Platner seems far too credible, and the point of this race is to provide a check on the power of a corrupt president who couldn’t care less about exceeding the boundaries of his power. It’s about defeating Susan Collins.
@grahamformaine best course of action is to not only drop out, but to do so without the ridiculous conditions he seems to be imposing, suggesting that he should have any kind of role in selecting his replacement. We had the chance for a short primary when Biden dropped out, and instead appointed Harris as his replacement. We saw how that worked out. @MaineDems are more than equipped to put together a fair process and Platner shouldn’t be too surprised if we select the candidate with the public policy choices that most resemble his own.
Congratulations to national media on politically assassinating Graham Platner. If he drops out and Democratic Party tries to give us two candidates who are both for Israel and corporate pacs, they'll face a revolt like they've never seen. Days of bullshit false choices are over.
@JanetMillsforME We should be doing the very same thing. We need to ensure that Federal agents like ICE or anyone else who tries to take control of voter lines, ballot machines, ballots or any apparatus is arrested by a state police force of swollen ranks and the legislation to provide the laws, mechanisms, and funding to enforce those laws.
Many of us former military police officers would surely volunteer for this duty free of charge, but we need to ensure that there is the appropriate training mechanism as well.
Please think about this asap!
And please, for god sakes, get in the Senate race, even as an independent!
To anyone considering helping President Trump interfere with our election or our count:
You will be prosecuted.
That’s why I’m moving forward with new legislation that would make it a FELONY to seize ballots before the vote has been certified by state and county officials.
Graham Platner may have committed sexual assault, but no court of law has found that he did (yet).
You know who a court of law has found to have committed sexual assault? Donald Trump.
Trump was found guilty of rape. Justice Thomas sexuality harassed Anita Hill. Matt Gaetz sex trafficked teenagers. Justice Kavanaugh has rape accusations from Dr. Ford. Gym Jordan ignored child rape. None of them stepped down.
🚨BREAKING: New reporting reveals that Graham Platner has been accused by 28 women of sexual misconduct…including allegations of rape, sexual assault, unwanted groping, harassment, and abuse.
And some of the alleged victims say they were minors at the time.
Oh wait… That was Donald Trump.
And Republicans are still backing him.
In the 3 seasons before @NYRangers traded for him, JT had 99, 82, and 103 pts. In his first season with the Rangers, he had 70 points in 72 games, split between us and Vancouver.
My broken record take worth endless repeating is that out of 180 possible top 6 forwards, only 30 odd players give you a point per game or better; JT Miller was one of them and Chris Drury rightly traded for him with two players that were never going to help this core beat teams like Florida in Tampa in the playoffs, plus a first round pick.
It baffles me that, with that record of production, how he doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt when we all KNOW he was injured at the beginning of last season, only played in 68 games but still scored 53 points while skating like a guy with a groin injury.
So, yes,I’m expecting a rebound. @NYRangers
Not nearly as brutal as Jeff Gorton trading away @zuccarello36 for a 3rd. And then deciding it wasn’t worth signing him in the summer when he was a free agent, supposedly because he was 30/31.
Of the 180 possible top 6 forwards, only 30 odd players give you a point per game or better(my broken record take). In the past 5 years, Zuke has put up 317 points in 345 games for a .92…at the ripe old age of 38.
In that same 5 years, Howden put up 114 points in 314 games for a .37 ppg avg. And he did have great 18 pt playoff this year, this one time.
But what is worse, giving away a player who has ranked in the top 2 sextets of top 6 production for a 3rd, or giving away a .37 ppg player for a 4th and no one in particular? What is more damaging to an organization? And why doesn’t Jeff Gorton get the criticism he deserves? Is it because the media is too busy giving him flowers over Kent Hughes’ accomplishments?
In a recent interview, Gorton said that when he hired Hughes, he told him that he wanted him to be the GM of the Canadians, and that’s what he is. Can the media take Gorton at his word, or does it make it that much harder to constantly run down Chris Drury?
@NYRangers
In one of his first moves as Rangers GM, Chris Drury traded Brett Howden for a 4th-round pick and Nick DeSimone (who never played a game for the Rangers). Howden is very likely going to be the leading goal scorer in this postseason, and may win his 2nd Cup in three years.
@NYRChip23 I heard your debate with @vzmercogliano on The Flying V, which turned me onto @BlueshirtBanter and bandwidth pod of which I am now a faithful listener.
Wanted to read your article for some time, but a trip to the west coast and other entanglements derailed me, so I just read it tonight.
I just wanted to tell you that I’m a fan of Vince, never miss his pod or articles, am happy that he graciously had you on and enjoyed the discussion. For sometime, I have felt that Vince has had an anti-Drury bias that has run so deep that he doesn’t even realize how profound it is. There is much more you could have said and likely pulled punches, and I hope that the slow summer days will invite a return discussion to this topic.
I know that many will say that they don’t want to re-litigate the Gorton vs Drury topic, but the problem is NY hockey media keeps bringing it up (Vince on his most recent pod, in fact) so critiquing them is fair game.
I just read a good dose of your posts, enjoyed both your @NYRangers and political posts as well. Keep on truckin’
Me too. As I understand it, Drury was trying to free up money to sign Jack Eichel, so it was a gamble.
But I think Drury looked at the fact that he had a number 1 overall in Laffy, a number 2 overall in Kaako, and a 1st round natural right wing in Kravy and thought, “What are the chances that at least one of these 3 guys will replace Buch?” So he calculated the margins and went for it.
It doesn’t change the fact that the return he got for Buch was bad. But the NY media never seems to factor in that the cap constrained Rangers also got back cap dollars that Drury used to tweak the team into something that never happened with the team under Gorton-an actual playoff experience in each of the next 3 seasons.
People that refuse to cite evidence that would refute a single point in a long winded tweet resort to name calling for a really good reason: They are unable to refute a single point in that long winded tweet.
