This is from the first day of the load in for the 25th anniversary celebration of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame at Madison Square Garden back in 2009.
Although the show was over 2 nights, as an MSG Employee I was on the clock for 56 consecutive hours.
Somewhere on the internet is a video of me and the rest of the set change crew sleeping upstage as Ozzy was performing with Metallica on the other side of the turntable.
Every 2 minute nap was much appreciated.
There is too much I remember about that epic show, but the thing I remember most about it was that as we were loading out the very last truck with the rigging, after god knows how many trucks, loading out directly after the show ended for another 10 hours, I clearly recall feeling my skeleton hurting.
I was done. 😉
