@stanfballupdate If Luck were wise he’d stick with Frank for another year. No point in getting a mediocre hire with all these open positions at more premier programs
@Kzovko It’s not that they don’t want to, they financially can’t. The Lyke/Victory Heights debacle made it impossible for Pitt to afford a buyout right now. Same goes with Capel
Bernard dug the department into a huge hole but this is a bigger issue. Doesn’t help when so few alums donate to athletics and the university puts limitations on who/how much someone can donate
Pitt Football started the season 7-0 and got ranked high as #18, and then went 0-6.
Pitt Basketball started the season 12-2 and got ranked high as #18, and then went 5-13, with season hopes dying on this phantom foul call in ACC Tourney. Just brutal.
@Badfish41589@slamdunk406 I don’t think Ben’s vote was about showing love to anything but good basketball. Maxime literally changed the way the sport was played this year. There may never be another player like him. Flagg was decent but carried by his teammates and would’ve averaged 7-10 ppg elsewhere
I know a lot of people are wondering how the seats might shuffle at Stanford with Bernard Muir resigning as AD. I propose the following: Luck to AD, Troy Taylor to Football GM, and this guy (3x National Championships) to Head Coach
2011 UConn went 9-9 in the Big East regular season but 23-0 in all other games.
People are saying it was harder to win the 2011 Big East Regular Season Title than it was to win the National Championship 🏆
It’s official. I no longer give a shit about Pitt sports. At least until things change. They’re the Steelers of college sports. Stuck in purgatory, and they don’t seem to care that they are.
