Met some friends from the industry this evening. Forward sales are looking grim. Of note: building companies have brought forward consent applications for houses they’re intending to build later in order to sneak in before the new insulation requirements. Bit pathetic really.

Individual products have their own warranties. The 10y is for the build only, not products. Your builder must pass on warranties and maintenance instructions for each component-eg cladding, roofing, flooring, etc.

Why do BCAs block the use of drywall interior lining other than Gib abs why has @MBIEgovtnz never done anything to resolve? Sam Stubbs from Simplicity specifically said councils blocked use as not approved or not an alternative solution.
