@ClintVSmith It isn't a "partnership". The word existed in 1840 but wasn't used in the Treaty text for a good reason. It wasn't. It was an agreement for the time. That it has any currency in the 21st Century is just madness.
@ClintVSmith O'Malley & the other left-wing "historians" proceed from a philosophical foundation, then bend the available facts to fit that vantage. Irrespective, the Treaty was essentially dead by the 1860s and should have been allowed to die. It will, ultimately, destroy New Zealand.
