not because i’m mean or because i’m pessimistic, it’s the genuine truth. there are already rumors about how valko helped caleb, about how he was friends with zayne. most importantly and CANONICALLY, he is rafayel’s counterpart. their stories will now suffer from the absence of valko. their stories were built WITH VALKO IN MIND! FOR THREE FUCKING YEARS!

not only that, otome games only thrive when new characters are added. your main is going to rot in a game that isn’t going anywhere. it will be repeat after repeat and the game was already going stale before valko was announced. so good luck <3

asking for caution is not the same as “defending infold” or “kissing infold’s ass.”

i genuinely do not understand how creating further conflict with media or institutions within china’s domestic context would directly help bring valko back into the game.

maybe i’m missing something, and if so, i’m open to hearing the reasoning. but i think it’s fair to ask a simple question: what is the concrete connection between this strategy and the goal of reinstating valko?

because none of us know how different parties would react, how our actions might be interpreted, or whether the message would remain the one we intended to send.
we Know that misunderstandings and distortions can happen.

that is why some of us are asking for caution, evidence, and clear reasoning. we care about the outcome and don’t want to unintentionally make an already complicated situation even more difficult.

i also deeply understand why we can’t help but run after every rumor in search of the “perfect” strategy that guarantees valko’s return, especially when we have received no official statements. but we cannot afford to exhaust ourselves chasing every new claim that appears.

i also think we need to remember what kind of power we actually have.
at the end of the day, we are players and customers, not lawyers (unless someone personally chooses to pursue legal avenues themselves) and maybe not even political experts.
that does NOT mean we are powerless. on the contrary, we have significant power within the relationship we share with infold, because companies rely on their players’ trust, engagement, and financial support.

imo, the most realistic and effective actions we can take are the ones already in our hands:

• don’t log into the game (i’ll share a link explaining why even daily logins still benefit infold and weaken the boycott that i found v useful in the replies!).

• avoid pulling on banners if you are able to (esp with talks of raf’s new myth).

• refrain from spending money on the game.

• unfollow their official social media accounts, keep mentioning valko under their posts to keep showing that he IS wanted.

• keep valko alive with tweets, art, edits, live meetings if possible (it’s so precious seeing everyone coming together irl)… engage with the topic, basically. don’t let the noise die down.

• send polite emails to infold expressing why valko matters to you and why bringing him back is important.

and, most importantly, let’s have patience.
this level of silence from any company is unusual. none of us know exactly why it is happening.
if external factors are involved, then patience may be necessary.
and if the silence is meant to wear us down and make us give up, then we can show them that we are stronger than that.
we have already proven how dedicated and resilient this community can be for days.
we can keep going.

let’s stay focused. let’s stay united and continue supporting one another, both global and cn players, just as we’ve been doing.

Considering our boycott. ✨
I’ve been seeing some people getting antsy again, so here goes my stance.

We can encourage, advise and advocate to not do certain things. Anything other than that? Is beyond our control.

The boycott regarding the game by not logging in and spending any money? I stand by that. I do think it is needed to show our disappointment not only regarding Valko’s cancellation but the state of the game itself.

I am aware though that others see it differently, don’t want to get too involved or just don’t care.

Me personally? I don’t care what you do. I don’t need an elaborate explanation as to why you still play. That’s your thing.
Do I appreciate those that are boycotting? Without a doubt. I am thankful to know that there are many others like me. ♡

But cussing and shaming others for not doing what we are doing, won’t suddenly change their opinion either. I know it can be frustrating and disheartening to see. Seeing it as a “I try so hard and they are just giving in.”

I have to point out that not everything is just black and white. There are people actively advocating here and helping out with donations but still playing. Or others just playing for dailies and stop spending. Others are waiting for their Aurum Pass to finish up and then leave.
For me, that still counts for something.

Nevertheless it is not our job to make sure everyone keeps on boycotting. We will keep on informing, we can keep on giving advice and at the end of the day, everyone chooses for themselves.

My position is clear: I am boycotting the game. I am not logging in. I am not spending any money. I ignored my Aurum Pass, because I decided to.
When they bring Valko back, I feel like I would still think twice before I would spend money on this game again.

Right now, I don’t see how going against each other helps anyone. Even the situation next week; I can recognise that the Rafayel Myth means a lot to the 🐟 girlies but also knowing that it could tell Infold the stance many take.

I hope I didn’t overstep with this.

Our focus should stay with Valko.
Let’s continue to spread love and kindness.
