There's something almost nobody in software says out loud.
Some of us inherited our systems from someone who left. More of us built them this year with agents.
Either way, most of us couldn't fully explain what we're running. And we keep building on top of it anyway.
Nearly everyone I speak to owns a system they could not fully explain if asked. Almost nobody says it, because out loud it sounds like not being good at your job.
@mattshumer_ Let's go war together! Companies are already losing the ability to understand the software systems they’ve built. AI is accelerating that beyond human scale. We’re building Veriom to make sure understanding scales with the systems we create. Sent you a DM.
@hthieblot I know this is an older post but, thought I'd give it shot: Veriom tells companies what they’ve actually built, what’s structurally wrong with it, and what a software change could break before they make it.
Food for thought: Without knowledge of the architecture you’re building on, the limiting factor on autonomous software development eventually becomes how much change humans are willing to trust.
In SF for the month!
If you're a security lead, platform lead, or CTO and you're tired of not actually knowing where your systems are exploitable until a scan, or an incident, tells you - I'd love to hear how you think about that, and buy you a coffee while we're at it. ☕️
