I struggle with this as a bilingual teacher because lack of language proficiency should not be the determining factor in content mastery.

Content is one thing and language is another.

#DualLanguage colleagues, why do we continue to call it biliteracy, if students in some DL programs receive grade-level instruction in only ONE program language in certain content areas for a year…or two…or five? Where is the linguistic equity in that type of DL program model?

A great reminder of how we should ALL be as adults especially when we have little eyes looking up and following our examples. It is not always easy, but it also is not that hard. The best way to lead is by example.
