@ijimaia@jorbnorn My brother in christ, that is not the definition of what a digit is in this case. You either need to get your math degree revoked or you are lying.
@fairytaledegree I'd argue the letter "I" would have "aye" or even "eye" as spellings putting it before the "I" spelling (though it's placement could use eye or I). Same for "G" having the "gee" spelling.
@yes_we_cat@morallawwithin Based on the wording "all & only"
51+ blue means all people die and only those who picked yellow die
51+ yellow means all people live and only those who picked blue live.
The & qualifies "all people" and the "only" people. It's poorly worded (maybe on purpose).
@bor74328@codek_tv Like, perhaps to you 2+3=6 because you like to use the + symbol to represent multiplication. Everyone else will say your wrong because its standard for + to be addition.
If there's some other very common notation for mixed numbers you know of, feel free to share.
@bor74328@codek_tv 3 1/3 as it's written IS the standard way mixed numbers are written, especially in grade school math classes. Advocating that this represents 3 ร 1/3 while being written in a non-standard way is just a weird (mostly incorrect take).
@bor74328@codek_tv 3 and 1/3 is the standard representation for a mixed number. We don't assume arithmetic operations (like multiplication) without parenthesis or some other indicator for the operation (a dot, ร, etc).
So here 3 and 1/3 is equivalent to 10/3, not 1.
@HamptonAc_ What's more, assuming this is $900 per month on the hair cut and you claim they get 2 cuts per week, you're saying they get 8 haircuts a month? Actually insane.
