BREAKING: The Court of Appeal has adjourned the case involving Sedina Tamakloe indefinitely without making a ruling on the application of the Attorney General to stay the execution of the decision of the Court acquitting and discharging the former MASLOC CEO.

The Court, president over by Sophia Rosetta Bernasko-Essah, JA, and flanked by Dr. Ernest Owusu-Dapaa JA, and Ayitey Armah-Tetteh JA heard the application and the arguments of the parties and rose for two hours to consider a decision.

The court returned without a decision and adjourned the case indefinitely.

The Legal Vacation begins today and ends on the 30th of September.

The Executive Director of the African Institute of Strategic Studies, Dr Jonathan Asante Otchere, has criticised the government’s decision to accept a recommendation by the Constitutional Review Committee (CRC) to extend the tenure of Ghana’s President and Members of Parliament from four to five years.

Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Hon. Dominic Ayine, has announced that government has accepted the Constitutional Review Committee’s recommendation to limit the number of ministers a president can appoint to a maximum of 60 and they may or may not be drawn from parliament.
