🚨 | Ferrari introduced an “FTM” flap near the SF-26’s exhaust, enabled by the rules allowing a max 60 mm overhang from the rear axle line.

By packaging the rear end differently (including a more rearward differential), Ferrari can place a small winglet that uses exhaust blowing.

With 2026 PUs generating and recharging more often, exhaust flow is present even at lower speeds, so the device can work through more corners and may be hard to copy without a rear redesign.

🚨 JUST IN: | 12 months ago, Fred Vasseur warned about turbo lag risks during race starts and called for regulation changes.

Ferrari's concerns were dismissed.

This led to Ferrari designing the power to be able to cope with the turbo lag problems.

Now those same teams realise Fred was right, and are pushing for a rule change.

Furthermore, Fred has voted NO. He gave the warning and the rivals ignored. Now deal with it.
