Police have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with this viral video circulating on social media in which he allegedly made references to criminal activities taking place along Jinja Road and within Banda.
According to a statement issued by Kampala Metropolitan Police, the suspect, identified as Wafula Solomon, was arrested by officers from Banda Police Post on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at around midday.
Police say investigations are underway to establish the circumstances under which the video was recorded and to determine whether the suspect or any of the individuals mentioned in the footage have been involved in criminal acts committed along Jinja Road and its surrounding areas.
The suspect is a resident of Banda Zone III, Banda Parish, Nakawa Division in Kampala D.
Police have cautioned the public against producing, sharing, or circulating content that glorifies, promotes, or appears to endorse criminal activity, warning that such conduct undermines ongoing efforts to combat crime and maintain public order.
Authorities also revealed that investigations are ongoing to identify and verify the criminal involvement of other individuals referenced in the video. They emphasized that appropriate action will be taken against anyone found to have participated in criminal activities.
