With the intro of income tax there is the need and scope for a rental assistance scheme.
This could take the form of a refundable tax credit. (Refundable as in at 0 income your credit is higher than tax owed)
Could potentially have two important benefits apart from the obvious.

@NaajihDidi Thanks for sharing this. There are some other old languages that had the same. Do you know when other colors such as orange, pink and purple first came into Dhivehi? There's a theory that these colors won't emerge in a language before the blue-green distinction.

A short term fix is to reduce the fare difference of MVR 25 - MVR 75.
Of course the long term solution is a more holistic rethink around congestion surcharges for private vehicles and public transport

For the record... the Sharia does not consider abortion to be murder when it’s before 120 days, which is when the soul is placed in the fetus. Before 120 days, abortion may be permitted, discouraged, or sinful depending on circumstance and intent.
