@Therootofallev4 I only say W.M because he’s a military lieutenant but even then it’s a stretch imo. And ik Fury was in hiding during C.W but I can’t really think of any pro-government superhero that would have as much sway/threat to the heroes other than him or Ross.
@Therootofallev4 I can’t say I’m extremely familiar with Iron-man comics but even when I read civil war, it felt off to me that Tony (the dickhead who was highly critical of the gov and military) was so pro registration. If anything, Ross, Fury or even War-machine(kinda) woulda made more sense.
@AGoldmund It def is in the beginning tho I’d argue it’s necessary given the context of the story. V was just entering the big leagues as a merc but was suddenly ousted due to a catastrophic job, so the early stuff is like rebuilding his cred. I promise though, later missions are insane.
@DogGoodell@goddamnmushroom Adam’s whole mindset on fights is “Machine over flesh.”
He goes into fights face tanking, and against Bane’s strength (which can def damage Adam) he’d just rip Adam to pieces.
@DogGoodell@goddamnmushroom The thing is Adam SHOULD be winning, he out stats Bane in every category besides strength and most importantly, intelligence and tactics. Adam gets regularly kicked around by a guy who has the bare essential implants using his tactics.
@Colin61455279@goddamnmushroom Yeah he was just an enlisted marine, he served for 6 years and was dishonorably discharged. He isn’t lacking in combat skill per se though, he’s good at it but that’s like comparing sharks and minnows. He’s good against unskilled mercs, he has no skill against real legends.
@goddamnmushroom Smashers whole strategy for fighting is literally just to pay to win stat checking you, as long as you don’t play his game, and think tactically you’ll sweep em faster than you can say V.
A. Bane is a master class intellect and fighter, he’d read Smasher like a holo-book.
@goddamnmushroom Smasher is physically weaker but he’s shown better speed feats, durability feats and has slashing and piercing options that give bane a hard time. But the reason he loses is exactly what Blackhand said about him, he relies on his cyberware to compensate for tactics and skill.
@NullVoxxed Adam should under normal circumstances clear Gotham, but the second he gets put in a room with Bane under a good writer or with either of the plot armor merchants Batman/Joker it’s up.
@Turtle_Schelle Honestly I’d be ok with these casual features as long as hard/very hard is balanced in a proper way. Perhaps prime time charge having a reduced fill rate, enemy’s having wider move pools. That way everyone can play at the pace they want.
@livanotherday I don’t want this to come across as me insulting your skill btw. But while I say that about most bosses in early to mid game have these issues (plus the high SP cost of moves vs low max SP reserve) I’m still a bit worried that the changes will kill the stakes of normal battles.
@livanotherday Shadow Mitsuo’s issue isn’t really his 4 moves imo, he isn’t really all that challenging of a boss even on very hard tbh. Persona 4 has a habit of making some bosses damage sponges, and having some form of stalling making them just kinda annoying to whittle down.
@soobiewobz Naoto’s fail flag isn’t really even denying her embracing her identity, I always found the “correct” romance flag to be worded like you’re telling Naoto what to be rather than “I like you for who you are” that it intended. In a game about finding YOUR true self.
@chillguypete Reloads a case where the art and atmosphere sorta Mandela affected everyone’s perceptions of how Reload actually handled things. (Not the answer tho, they 100% toned that down too much.)
@chillguypete I think the issue is the atmosphere is different. I used to think Yakushima was toned down until I watched my friend play reload, and seeing the bright atmosphere with the new art made it feel pretty different in tone even if in all honesty it was nearly the same.
@cinnosnom I think in an ideal world, having a story where we call out or Yosuke learns to stop that kinda talk would be very interesting. But Atlus has shown time and time again they view queerness as a joke. So I’d honestly rather they not or save it for a new P6 character.
@cinnosnom Yukari’s “mean” moments serve a narrative purpose that directly affects the trajectory of a larger story. Yosuke’s stuff are“comedic scenes” that aren’t supposed to have substance. I think it’s a good move to remove that because I don’t trust Atlus to write a respectful story.
@That_One_Frick@Armlo_2644 Ya I understand that, lowk I think it’s just how it’s phrased makes it sound weird. Honestly I think they should rephrase the romance flag to what you said here since I feel it fits better, cuz it lowk feels like I’m telling her what to be/do.
Hot take, but Yosuke isn't homophobic because it's internalized. He's homophobic because Atlus thinks it's funny. The same way they thought the transphobic joke in P3 was funny. And the same way they thought that one homophobic bit in vanilla P5 was funny
