🇺🇸 WE'RE HEADING TO TEXAS, BROTHERS AND SISTERS!!! The VikingBoer Clan is planting roots in the Lone Star State! 🛡️🙏

Well, America our plans have taken a bold turn for the better! We touched down in Modesto 2 days ago, hearts full of gratitude and eyes wide with the promise of freedom.

But after talking with our caseworker and feeling out the lay of the land, we've made a firm decision: we're moving to the Fort Worth, Texas area as soon as possible!

Texas is where we want to raise our children strong, in a place that stands for liberty, self-reliance, and the American spirit we’ve dreamed of. No more waiting around. God has opened doors, and we’re walking through them with Viking resolve!

The biggest push?
Timing and stewardship of what the Lord has provided. Here in Modesto we’re looking at a 2-week wait for permanent housing, 6+ weeks for Social Security numbers, and another 2 weeks for EADs. That’s nearly two months before we can legally work. Our motel is running $200 a night, and every day chips away at the resettlement funds that still need to cover housing deposit, furniture, food, transport, and keeping the family going.

The good news? We already have solid, affordable housing lined up in Fort Worth. Texas feels like home in our bones the kind of place where a hardworking Afrikaner family can thrive under God and the stars and stripes.

We brought $5,000 of our own savings specifically for a reliable vehicle, but we haven’t found one here we’d trust for the long haul to Texas. Financing isn’t realistic yet without SSNs or credit history, so those funds will stretch much further once we’re settled and able to sort things properly.

The challenge: We’re a family of five with ten large suitcases plus hand luggage. This isn’t a simple plane ticket run. Last of our earthly possessions.

To my American friends and especially the mighty Texans out there what would you do? Have you made a big move like this? Any affordable, reliable ways to get a family and all our gear from Modesto, CA to the Fort Worth area? Churches, organizations, veteran groups, vehicle dealers, or generous souls with vans/trailers/trucks who might help? We’re open to any practical ideas or connections.

Your support has been a lifeline we never expected every prayer, every message, every word of encouragement. You’ve shown us the true heart of this great nation. We’re humbled and fired up to build something strong in Texas.

God is good. America is worth it. Texas, here we come!!!!!
