En effet, depuis 10h ce matin, un groupe de passagers ont attendu en vain l'arrivée de l'avion jusq'à 4heures cet après midi pour se rendre aux Cayes. Pour potester contre le comportement jugé encore une fois irrespectueux de Sunrise à l'égard de ses clients, ces passagers ont bloque l'accès à la piste empêchant un autre groupe qui s'appêtait à prendre un vol pour se rendre au Cap-Haïtien d'avoir la possibilité de monter à bord. L'avion est resté collé au sol pendant une demie heure avant que les protestataires ne décident de le laisser partir en dépit de l'intervention de la police. De plus en plus de voix s'élèvent de nos jours pour dénoncer le service exécrable offert aux passagers par la Sunrise. Après les dénonciations du délégué départemental du Nord lors de la visite du premier ministre Alix Didier Fils-Aimé dans ce département, l'Office National d'Aviation Civile a inauguré un bureau de doléances destiné à recevoir les plaintes des passagers.
