@mikemovies Hip, young, fresh at the time. Nichols did a good job directing -- lots of great shots, storytelling, etc. Anne Bancroft is amazing. Last 40 or so minutes are not nearly as good as the rest of the film. Hoffman is probably miscast (if you know the novella).
