After months of research and a long wait for parts to arrive, I finally completed my first actuator prototype.
Next iterations must be lighter, smaller, with more torque, but for this first attempt I am very pleased.

Just received my heat insert kit from aliexpress, and I’m pleasantly surprised!
The soldering head just worked with my T245 handle and heated up quickly.
I initially wanted to support cnckitchen but unfortunately shipping wasn’t available to my address.

This reducer is known as ‘sito SHD-11’, but I bought the same one from a different seller for half the price.
Aside from some annoying fees, I had a good experience purchasing from taobao with @cssbuy.

The strain wave reducer (“harmonic drive”) from chine finally arrived!
It’s backdrivable and has a built in crossed roller bearing.
Best of all, it was $70 with shipping. That’s an absolute bargain.

Finally decided on this Voigtlander.
Moving from a zoom autofocus to a manual prime is a huge change.
It’s a whole different experience.

Got a great deal on secondhand Sony A7III and 24-105 F/4 lens.
Image quality is outstanding.
If you like photography, get a good camera. You won’t regret it!

I sold the 24-105 a few days ago. It’s a great lens for landscape, but mediocre for portraits (F4 does not produce enough depth and the bokeh is not smooth).
Currently debating between Sony 35 1.8, Zeiss 55 1.8 and a manual Voigtlander 35/50 1.2.
